Gathering Song (James R. Hart)                                           I Will Praise Him Still

When the morning falls on the farthest hill,

I will sing His name, I will praise Him still.

When dark trials come and my heart is filled

With the weight of doubt, I will praise Him still.

For the Lord, our God, He is strong to save

From the arms of death, from the deepest grave.

And He gave us life in His perfect will;

And by His good grace I will praise Him still.

Confession of Sin

All: Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you

in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by

what we have left undone.  We have not loved you with our whole heart;

we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.

We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.  For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ,

have mercy on us and forgive us; that we

may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Kyrie Eleison

     Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy on us.

     Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy on us.

Assurance of Forgiveness

Song of Praise                                                               Blessed Be Your Name

Blessed be Your name in the land that is plentiful,

Where Your streams of abundance flow, blessed be Your name.

Blessed be Your name when I'm found in the desert place,

Though I walk through the wilderness, blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out I'll turn back to praise.

When the darkness closes in Lord, still I will say,

Blessed be the name of the Lord,

Blessed be Your name.

Blessed be the name of the Lord,

Blessed be Your glorious name.

Blessed be Your name when the sun's shining down on me,

When the world's all as it should be, blessed be Your name.

Blessed be Your name on the road marked with suffering,

Though there's pain in the offering, blessed be Your name.

You give and take away, You give and take away.

My heart will choose to say, Lord blessed be Your name. (Repeat)

Psalm 91 Qui habitat

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most½High *

abides under the shadow of the Al ½mighty.

2 He shall say to the Lord,

“You are my refuge and my½stronghold, *

my God in whom I put my½trust.”

3 He shall deliver you from the snare of the½hunter *

and from the deadly½pestilence.

4 He shall cover you with his pinions,

and you shall find refuge under his½wings; *

his faithfulness shall be a shield and½buckler.

5 You shall not be afraid of any terror by½night, *

nor of the arrow that flies by½day;

6 Of the plague that stalks in the½darkness, *

nor of the sickness that lays waste at½mid-day.

7 A thousand shall fall at your side

and ten thousand at your right½hand, *

but it shall not come½near you.

8 Your eyes have only to be½hold *

to see the reward of the½wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your½refuge, *

and the Most High your habi½tation,

10 There shall no evil happen to½you, *

neither shall any plague come near your½dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge½over you, *

to keep you in all your½ways.

12 They shall bear you in their½hands, *

lest you dash your foot against a½stone.

13 You shall tread upon the lion and½adder; *

you shall trample the young lion and the serpent

under your½feet.

14 Because he is bound to me in love,

therefore will I de½liver him; *

I will protect him, because he knows my½Name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will½answer him; *

I am with him in trouble;

I will rescue him and bring him to½honor.

16 With long life will I½satisfy him, *

and show him my sal½vation.

from our bodies all sickness and all infirmity: Be present in your goodness and

and also give your power of healing to those who minister to their needs;

through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Healer of My Soul

Healer of my soul, keep me at evening.

Keep me at morning, keep me at noon,

Healer of my soul.

Keeper of my soul, on rough course faring,

Help and safeguard my means this night.

Keeper of my soul.

I am tired, astray and stumbling,

Shield my soul from the snare of sin.

How Deep the Father’s Love for Us

How deep the Father's love for us, how vast beyond all measure,

That He should give His only Son to make a wretch His treasure.

How great the pain of searing loss, the Father turns His face away,

As wounds which mar the Chosen One bring many sons to glory.

Behold the man upon a cross, my sin upon His shoulders;

Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers.

It was my sin that held Him there until it was accomplished;

His dying breath has brought me life. I know that it is finished.

I will not boast in anything, no gifts, no pow’r, no wisdom;

But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.

Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer.

But this I know with all my heart, His wounds have paid my ransom.

When I Survey the Wondrous Cross

When I survey the wondrous cross

on which the Prince of Glory died

My richest gain I count but loss

and pour contempt on all my pride

Forbid it Lord that I should boast

save in the death of Christ my God

All the vain things that charm me most

I sacrifice them to His blood

See from His head His hands His feet

sorrow and love flow mingled down

Did e'er such love and sorrow meet

or thorns compose so rich a crown

Were the whole realm of nature mine

that were a present far too small

Love so amazing so divine

demands my soul my life my all
